It takes safe people to make safe systems work, therefore Harsco invests in training for all employees through our SafeGuard safety program. The goal is for our employees to be fit for work, trained and engaged.
New employees are introduced to our safety principles on their first day with the company. We explain our Cardinal Rules to them and the behaviours expected of them. They are educated in the risks of the industry, and the good practices required to manage them such as vehicle/pedestrian segregation, lockout and tag, and safe driving.
